Title: Gold [2017, Acrylic on Canvas] 16" x 20"
Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Genevieve C Ramos discovered her extraordinary talent for painting during a pivotal moment in her life. At 20, after surviving a car accident that left her with significant injuries, Genevieve found solace in art therapy during her rehabilitation. The first time she held a paintbrush, she captured the night sky, a powerful expression of her yearning for connection while isolated in the hospital. This profound experience marked the beginning of her journey as a self-taught artist. Genevieve’s work is more than just art; it is a testament to resilience and the trans-formative power of creativity. Her paintings, rich with emotion and meaning, invite viewers to connect with her story and to see the world through her eyes.
